Halfway to Dot Day 5k

Join us on December 9th 2023!

Come join us for the 2023 Halfway to Dot Day 5k Road Race on Saturday December 9th, 2023! This is a family friendly run for all ages and abilities along the paths of DCR’s Pope John Paul Park and is certified and sanctioned by USA Track and Field – New England.

Registration for adults and teenagers 12+ is just $25. All youth under 12 are asked to make a donation of at least $5, and 100% of the proceeds will be used for post-secondary and trades school scholarships for Dorchester youth.

Bib Pick-up

Come and grab your bib and t-shirt early on Friday 12/8 5-8pm at Landmark.

Race-day bib pick up: Saturday 12/9 7-8:30am at Florian Hall.


Parking
Parking is available at the Walgreens Parking Lot (757 Gallivan Boulevard) and adjacent streets in the area. “Candy Cane Lane” will safely and quickly lead you from Walgreens through the park to the starting line. There is limited parking at Florian Hall and no parking in the McKeon Post parking lot.

The Course
A fast and flat 5k (3.1 miles) inside of DCR’s Pope John Paul II Park. Runners will start near the Hilltop Street entrance and pass by festively decorated water tables and carolers along the way.

Sponsor Halfway to Dot Day

Halfway to Dot Day Proceeds will be used to raise funds for scholarships that support Dorchester youth who are entering the building trades as their post-secondary path. These scholarships will help young people in the neighborhood pursue their careers in the building trades and support them as they begin their apprenticeships with necessities such as tools, application fees, and tuition.

  • Santa’s Sleigh Sponsor $2,500 – includes Company/Organization/Individual name on the race shirt and 10 free entries to the race
  • Santa’s Helper Sponsor $1,000 – includes Company/Organization/Individual name on the race shirt and 5 free entries to the race
  • Jingle Bell Sponsor $500 – includes Company/Organization/Individual name on the race shirt and 5 free entries to the race
  • Reindeer Sponsor $250- includes Company/Organization/Individual name on the race shirt and 2 free entries to the race
  • Snowflake Sponsor $100– includes Company/Organization/Individual name on the race shirt
